ℹ Italian citizens do not require a visa to visit China. The duration of stay of passport holders of Italy on the territory of China is 15 days. Important! Visa-free from December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024. 24-hour visa-free transit through China (unless arriving in Fuzhou, Huangshan, Mudanjiang, or Yanji). 72-hour visa-free transit through Changsha, Guilin and Harbin. 144-hour visa-free transit through Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Jieyang, Kunming, Nanjing, Ningbo, Qinhuangdao, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Shijiazhuang, Tianjin, Wuhan, Xiamen and Xi'an. Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan count as third countries under the 24, 72 and 144-hours transit without visa (TWOV) policies.
🔑 How to enter to China from Italy
To enter China, Italian citizens must follow some fairly simple steps. Please note that migration services have the right to request additional documents (return tickets, accommodation reservations and etc.).
- Before traveling to China, check whether your Italian passport is valid. Passport must be valid for 6 months after entering China and have at least 1 blank page for entry stamp.
- Show your Italian passport to the immigration officer upon arrival.
- Getting a visa - an entry stamp in your Italian passport. You are allowed to stay in China for 15 days.

- Italian citizens should provide valid passport. Passport must be valid at the all time of entry to China. The passport must be a minimum of one blank page for the entry stamp.
