  • Completed application form of qualification endorsement for smart visa “S”
  • Copy of valid passport
  • Medical certificate issued from the country of which the applicant is a national or a permanent resident or where the application is submitted, showing no prohibited diseases ( Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis) as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535 (not more than 3 months old)

  • Power of attorney if the application is submitted by a representative

  1. Prepare Business Plan & Secure Endorsement
    Develop a comprehensive innovative business plan and obtain an official endorsement from a BOI/DEPA-approved accelerator, incubator or qualified venture investor.
  2. Submit Application to BOI
    File the SMART Visa application package online or in-person at the BOI One-Stop Service Center together with all supporting documents.
  3. Approval & Visa Issuance
    After BOI review and approval (usually 20–60 days), receive an approval letter and apply for the SMART S visa stamp at a Royal Thai Embassy or request change of status within Thailand.
  4. Entry & Compliance
    Enter Thailand, report your address within 15 days, register the company (if not already done), obtain a work permit exemption letter and fulfill annual BOI reporting requirements.
