🚗 Do tourists need a license to drive a car in Taiwan?

Yes, tourists from most countries are allowed to drive in Taiwan with their foreign driver's license for up to 30 days. However, if the foreign driver's license is not in Chinese or English, an International Driving Permit (IDP) or an official translation in Chinese is required. Keep in mind that traffic in Taiwan drives on the right side of the road.
