Travel to Conakry (CKY)

If you’re travelling to Conakry, you will need to take a COVID-19 PCR test before departure and provide contact information on arrival.

Travel update for passengers traveling to Guinea from India

Effective immediately, Indian nationals and passengers travelling to Guinea from India are permitted entry subject to the following requirements:

  • COVID-19 PCR testing at least 72 hours before departure
  • Vaccinated passengers are only required to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate at check-in.
    • Accepted vaccines are Spoutnik V, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Astra Zeneca, Covishield, Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson.
  • Non-vaccinated passengers will undergo a second COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at their own cost of GNF 650,000 GNF (USD 65).

COVID-19 PCR testing

All passengers travelling to Conakry must carry a negative COVID?19 PCR test certificate issued less than five days before their departure date. A certificate from any government approved lab will be acceptable.

Any passenger who presents symptoms of COVID?19 (e.g. fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sneezing, poor general condition, etc.) on arrival will undergo a standard diagnostic test (PCR) and be isolated while waiting for the test results. If found positive for COVID?19, the traveller will be treated at a dedicated processing centre.

Required forms

All passengers must complete the health declaration form provided on board

All passengers must provide a telephone number for health services to monitor them for fourteen days from their day of arrival.

Exemptions

Children 12 years old and below are exempted from COVID-19 PCR testing for entry into Conakry.

Guinean citizens repatriated as part of humanitarian flights who were unable to take a COVID-19 PCR test will undergo PCR screening on arrival and be isolated while waiting for the test results.

EU citizens are not allowed entry into Conakry following the principles of reciprocity, with the following exceptions:

  • Holders of long-stay, family and professional visas
  • Spouses of Guinean nationals
  • Europeans residing in Guinea
  • Holders of diplomatic passports from embassies or international organisations on Guinean territory (including family members)
  • Technical assistants
  • Humanitarian personnel
