⚠ Unfortunately, Hungary does not yet offer digital nomad visas. For those who want to stay in Hungary longer, we recommend considering the following options:
The Hungary digital nomad visa (White Card) doesn't permit you to work with local businesses in the country you're residing in. All your contracted work must be with companies outside Hungary.
This visa is available for non-EU nationals and allows you to stay in Hungary for one year, with the option to renew it for an additional year if desired.
Unfortunately, family unification is not allowed under this visa. If you are married, your spouse must apply for a separate White Card and meet the requirements independently.
Hungary is part of the Schengen Area, which means visa holders can travel to 27 other countries within the arrangement without needing an additional visa.
If you do need an entry visa for Hungary, you must apply for the White Card digital nomad visa from outside the country. Simply make an appointment at your local Hungarian embassy or consulate and submit your documents there.
The processing time for visa approval is approximately 30 days. Within that time frame, you will receive a response regarding the status of your application.
